Update and Cover Reveal

Hi everybody! It's Friday, which means I get to give you all an update on what I have been up to and where I am in my writing!

Truth is, I haven't been much of a writer lately but I've been very much an editor! I've embraced the fact that I am an un-payed full time writer, and I absolutely love it. It would be nice to actually get paid for it though, haha. That's the goal!

For the past week I have been seriously editing my 2012 NaNoWriMo novel Through the Paper Wall to get it closer to publication. As I've been going through I've been really happy with most of what I have found, as the story is a whole lot better than I remember it being when I was trying to force the words out during November! If I can get myself into high gear I'll be finished with my initial editing this weekend and I'll be passing my manuscript on to three gracious beta readers. While they are going through their copies I will be doing a more in-depth search for grammar and word issues, using a method recommend by Caitlin Hensley. Honestly, it doesn't sound like much fun, but I want to try it, so we'll see how that goes.

Basically I've been dedicating all of my time to editing, except for the time I devote to my blog of course! Once I'm done with this project I plan on getting back to my almost-finished book Lorn that I started during Camp NaNoWriMo last August. It is definitely one of my favorite things I have ever written and I can't wait to get that one out to you guys! I really think this one could make it big.

Other things I have been doing include coming up with new story ideas that I am super excited about, and I am still waiting to hear back from a publisher about Ontario. If they want it, then woohoo! If they don't, I'll start the self publishing process that I am currently taking with Through the Paper Wall.

Speaking of my current project, I decided it was time to reveal the cover art! I designed this cover myself a few months ago and I recently was given the green light by the owner of the image, and I am so proud to share it with you!

Let me know what you think! If all goes according to plan I should be releasing the book in February! I am sooooo excited! As always, thanks for tagging along! If you haven't lately, I'd appreciate it if you can help me spread the word about my book and my other writing endeavors. You can get my Facebook and Twitter links in the side bar. Thanks again!
